About the Course Creator
This course was developed by Matchpal Residency Advising in conjunction with Dr. Saumya Shah.
Dr. Shah is a resident at the USC | LAGMC Anesthesiology Residency Program in Los Angeles, CA and is a graduate of California Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
During medical school, Dr. Shah served as President of his school’s American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) student chapter, where he organized simulation workshops, developed mentorship programs, and led international projects aimed at expanding access to anesthesia care in underserved regions. He is the co-founder of VĂa AĂ©rea, Central America’s first dedicated airway management simulation center, where he helped create hands-on training programs and educational material, and has led multiple international medical missions to Guatemala, El Salvador, Nigeria, and the Philippines.
As a passionate and experienced educator, Dr. Shah has mentored and tutored countless medical students in their journey of successfully matching anesthesiology. This bootcamp, inspired by Matchpals "What We Wish We Knew" format and Dr Shah's expertise, is designed to prepare students to absolutely excel in their technical and clinical knowledge for anesthesiology sub-internship rotations.
